Ok i got jelly legs. It was dark all but the moonlight, the mad ass gits tried to get the fat guy that hates heights to walk down a mud path down a cliff side not 20 yrd from a big red sign that says danger and tells you not to go close to the edge. What do you expect!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would have paid good money to see a video of big john on that ladder, with platted legs, shaking like a shi--ing dog with tackle flying in all directions as the ladder starts to buckle

I never made it to the ladder of death mate. As we approached what can only be descibed as a cliff side with a big red danger sign next to the none descript path. I looked down over the side and could see a steep mud path that meandered down in a snake like fashion. I did start to make my way down it but for some reason all i could think about was falling so i gave it up as a bad job(Yep JELLYLEGS). I`m a big girly wuss when it comes to heights

I'm no expert BUT THE RED WARNING SIGN might have been there for a reason ! You did the right thing mate, not sure i would want to risk the ladder of death - not even to go fishing.

Thanks for the entertainment John !

I am speculating you'll be fishing in Sodium as well as Freshwater/Brackish water? Offshore? Inshore? WHERE you is going to be will designate what type of gear as well as outfit's to buy.

Very first, you will need to select how you'll be fishing- mainly with bait OR mostly along with lures. Will you mostly be trolling Or even mainly casting?

Bass Professional comes with an superb review area for ALL their gear they sell. A good idea would be to peruse their site and browse evaluations of reels/rods/tackle that looks great to you.
For example of excellent Fishing reels to select from:

One. Fin-Nor OFS Rotating reel- (This particular reel is ideal for everything from Bottom-fishing Just offshore to Jetty/Surf-fishing. If you want a reel to trap Fluff Yellows this is it.
2. Penn, Special Senator Conventional reel- (A workhorse reel that may be employed for Bottom-fishing Just offshore to Trolling for large Gamefish. If you plan to go Offshore
Three. Penn, Slammer Rotating reel- (An excellent reel with regard to Coastline angling with regard to Reds, Trout, Flounder, Snook, and small Tarpon. Could be used in Salt Or even Fresh water.
You could get some bait-casting outfit's, but the "learning curve" can be hard. If you havn't got the time to "practice" throwing, stay away from bait-casting outfits.

Supports??????

Depends upon WHERE you'll be more often than not. Are you sitting Just offshore on a saltwater Or perhaps in the actual mouth of the creek around the ICW?

In my opinion, Unsightly Stiks tend to be fine for any Bottom-fishing Offshore or Trolling- however, when it comes to Largemouth bass angling Or even Inshore Flats fishing you'll need a much more delicate graphite rod.

Let me know in which you intend to end up being as well as I will then add recommendations for you.

Gear and tackle????

Much of your "terminal tackle" could be selected for you at a great Sports Shop. I suggest you go to your local Bass Professional Shops or well-stocked Sporting Goods shop. Do not visit Walmart/K-Mart/Etc- they won't have sufficient high quality equipment as well as their customer service is non-existent.
