just been talking to a courier about piking:} he says where the till runs into the fosdyke on the A57 near saxilby has been fishing its head off:}}
anyone know if he is right??

Not sure mate but I know the Fossdyke is really old (Roman) so if there's any likely spots for Pike it'd be there I reckon.

There's a pub called the PieWipe on the dyke as well, I fished there ages ago once :fish:

There is a bridge that you go over (not that you may notice).The river runs in from the left as you are heading towards lincoln accross from the fertilizer factory type thingy :D

If only you had the time to explore Lincolns many drains, I'm sure there are uncaught thirties out there.
Some years ago a mate took me to a drain, I'm sure he drove the long route so I wouldn't be able to find it again, it was a long walk from the car, and it wasn't until late in the winter afternoon that we arrived at a spot where two drains joined, I had 3 doubles in 30 minutes.
Can I find it again? Can I heck! My mate? he went travelling around the world and we lost touch.
If you are out there Andy, can I have a map reference ??
That bridge on the A57 always seems to be busy this time of year, is it a case of the food fish shoaling up?

Has anyone ever fished the warping drain at misterton/haxey way on last i heard it had been taken over by the police but it could have changed hands again. Plenty of pike i took my mate scott and he had a 21.08 within minutes of getting there i will see if i can scan the pic.

Never fished it but have heard its a good pike venue, mixed fishery infact.

Think so yes mate. My old mate Barree took Elk, Lickster and me there once I think it was, reckon it was out Haxey way and it was definitely drains and they dead baited for Pike as I remember.

I'll have to ask Roy about where it was, he'll know exactly.
