Just had my chestnuts pulled from the fireplace in no uncertain terms by Cal from Newfields.
I had been let down by my current bait supplier, and unless I wanted to use readymades I needed to find some quality bait, fast.
Just to explain, I've been struggling to keep bait in any quantity, since we moved flats, (downsized the freezer, BIG mistake), and had been piggybacking my requirements with another group of testers.
So I need some, and bung in an order.
Not a twitter, no acknowledgement nothing, and its getting a bit close to "needing some" time. Like I need them for Wednesday AM! So I ring round and of course everyone is fishing. By the time I get the news that I have missed the boat for delivery this week, its Sunday night at 8pm.
Panic ! :o
So I ring Cal, and explain the situation, could he help me out?
Amazingly ....YES !
Not only has he come up with my exact requirements, in size and (pellet) shape, but he's made them specially this morning, and the courier has picked them up this lunchtime, to be with me tomorrow.
Now I could understand it if I was a major customer, or a close fishing pal. But for a guy that he really doesnt know from Adam?

Surely that is service above and beyond the call. :rolleyes:
