slack lines
Had a good resulf for my first time with slack lines in close fishing about 5m from the bank i'v never fished slack lines(very slack)and it workes.I was thinking it would make me miss a bite.I just watched the lines so i wasnt to late onto the fish. :fish: .

Good result on the pond Duds B)

What made you try slack lines? Did you use it with a fixed or running lead ?
Can't get my head around why it works, but I guess it must. For example if you are using a fixed lead with a hanger set to show a take or drop back, and the fish comes toward you, you get a drop back. If this happened with ultra slack line surely f-all would register?
Like I mentioned, I know it works but not tried enough to convince.

I like to fish with slack lines but not quite as slack as dudster has mentioned. The only way possible to fish them would be with a running rig imo. Knowing dudster and having fished with him many a time i`m 100% he`d have been using a running rig :big:

Running rigs all the way ..the line watching was the key i think? .I let the line loop into the water i would of seen a drop back bite i hope?i was fishing so close to the bank the fish had to swim the other way.Might try it again this weekend :fish: i'm going for 100lb of carp on corn again slack lines
