Thats exactly the stuff I was looking for John thank you.

I expect I will be taking an Avon rod and centrepin reel, and possibly a fixed spool as well, (with a few spare spools of line, just in case I get a chance to go on a river) for fishing spots like the Marina described.
So this kind of fishing report, using very similar gear, is meat and drink ol'e son.
