shimano gte 8000

These reels may be considered as at the top end of the market. With prices varying from where you look be sure to buy these excellent reels as close to £70-£100 as you can find. These reels may seem expensive, but if used properly and looked after will last you a lifetime. These reels are very smooth and well balanced. They have the baitrunner facility and also have a rear drag. They come with a spare spool usually. I have two of these reels now, and have caught specimens from both rivers and stillwaters, with no trouble at all.I'm 100% happy

cheers

:( Sorry to be a spoil sport..i had three of these rods and the end eyes fell out on all three  i went to sleaford to buy some second hand tackle and he was selling all three of his "FOR A TENNER!!" same reason so i bought em all right for marking and light stuff :D but they were cracking rods when working properly?

If you still have the inserts just push them back in with a drop of superglue on the outer ring. Thats all it will take to restore them to full working order.

Its just an unfortunate miss match of tollerances that can happen on stuff sometimes. The insert a micron or two on the small side and the outer wire ring a few microns large, both still well within engineering tollerances but a nightmare to an angler.
Good price on the rods though, I'll give you a tenner each for them. :D

BOF ;)

Think they are top of the range.
I use 90's era Delkims and have never had a problem other than they don't sound often enough !!
