You could grind some down and add it to your mix not quite sure how it would work neat though mate. Trial and error is the only way to find out.

The Americans had pirates too you know. It wasnt just us Brits.
See here:-

But Ahab was played by Gregory Peck who, according to my sister at least, is somehow distantly related to us, (she's into all that geniological stuff). Probably by marriage, as I think he was Romanian by birth.

My boat is called the "PVA bag", just so I can say I got all my bait out by PVA Bag. :D
That reminds me,I must fix the rudder system as it took a bit of a battering last year, and hasnt seen the light of day since I brought it home.

haarrrr harrrr so...you in line for a couple of quid then???anyhoooo..today i have my hands on a fish finder(borrowed  )and my marker rod and bait boat...so with a marker in one hopper and the finder trailing behind and a bit of bait...combine all these things...WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG  now this is the man who puts his bait in the hoppers and forgets his rigs  it'll be like a scene from a norman wisdom film

I have this vision of the bait boat, (like the Titanic), sliding slowly but inexorably below the waves. :(
Dragged down by the severed reel line wrapped round a snag and the prop shaft. Whilst a hummingbird depth finder tries vainly to rescue your marker float, but cant make it, as all the prebait has congealed and is counterballancing the bouyancy of the float, which is sinking so slowly down into the depths. :o

At the same time dozens of site members, and fellow Res. regulars, are falling about laughing all around you on the bank.

Oh yes, and a certain magazines photographer is busy snapping the event for next months issue. :D :D

Simplify it.
Just do the marker float and depth finding on one trip, then go out again, and drop the rigs and loose feed next to the float. Coping with multiple maneuvers and trailing lines, especially if there is any weed anyplace near, is a nightmare!
